DOOBSTEPP

Hola, all of my avid music listeners! Today, I have some dubstep for you. I'm not really a fan of dubstep, but im slowly learning to accept it as a type of music seeing as a majority of my friends enjoy force-feeding it down my throat. Because of this, my project might not even sound like dubstep. Anyways, here we go
I started off by trying to make what all good dubstep has; A sexxy wobble bass. When I was experimenting with it, I found this sound that sort of ate at your ears in a way, and was so low that it didn't even really sound like notes. Naturally, I decided to bass my whole song off of it. The Intro starts off softer and then progressively gets more and more intense with the drum patterns, which I originally tied to the pattern of the bass. After a long intro, and many days of me trying to figure out another wobble bass sound that actually sounded decent, I made a sort of Drop. It goes into a "synthy" lead with some nice wobble bass thats two square and one sine wave under it. Dont expect Skrillex or anything, but I don't think its too shabby. Eventually that all fades out into the beginning "ear-eating" part again, as I decided to go crazy with automation clips of volume on pretty much everything.
Enjoy!

  1. Your bass part is too low for me to discern any pitch or character of tone. Perhaps double up an octave on the same line to give it some clarity. consider a variation in the chords after they state their main theme.
